Trivial Bowl 2011 by AAJA-LA　最終ミーティング

来月14日に開催されるTrivia Bowlの最終ミーティングに参加してきた。会場はGlendale にあるテレビ局のKABC7。
AAJA役員でもある同局のアンカーパーソン David Onoも参加。会うのは去年のクリスマスパーティ以来。打ち合わせの前にKABC7のスタジオツアーが催された。打ち合わせにはAAJA-LAの役員ほぼ全員が参加。David Onoとは前年のクリスマスパーティで会っていたが、役員に就任して以来まだあったことない役員もいたので、ちょうどよい顔合わせの機会となった。

A fun, interactive, dynamic and competitive evening of community celebration & “fun-raising” for student scholarships & professional programs

Support the chapter’s many wonderful programs & a chance to nab the sought after Rice Cup trophy

同イベントはメディア関連の団体が10名ほどでチームを作り、クイズ大会を行い、その収益を奨学金などに還元するというもの。
参加団体はKABCなどのテレビ局やLos Angeles Timesなどの新聞社らメディア団体。大学の新聞会なども参加する。

当日配布されるAAJAペン　これで参加者は回答を記入する。

こちらはHenry Fuhrmann、AAJA本体のAdvisory Boardのメンバー。

残念ながら当日は日本にいる可能性が濃厚なため、参加できそうになくなったが、毎年開催されているイベントなので陰ながら支援を続けていきたいと思う。
